VTG Set 4 Franciscan Desert Rose Ceramic Tea Cups & Saucers 1978-84 F Backstamp APPROX MEASUREMENTS Cup 4" diameter top 2" diameter base 2.25" tall Saucer 5.75" diameter 2.5" diameter base DESCRIPTION Lovely ceramic earthenware set of 4 cups and saucers from Franciscan Desert Rose collection. Printed mark on saucer (Flying F) tells me they are from 1979-84. Mark on saucer and on bottom of cup match so pretty sure this is a matching set. Decorators numbers don't have to be the same on cup and saucer as they are paired later. Saucers have scalloped edges. Slightly raised handpainted desert rose design. I have noticed that the older pieces have a deeper richer ivory color but lighter colors in the design. I would suggest hand washing to avoid crazing from the heat of a dishwasher. CONDITION Used but very Good condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing. There are pottery stilt marks on the back.
