You can learn the Medley Course with all its nuances & easy sounding but complex subtleties. It was an endorsed effort and was sold at the St. Louis convention. The Medley is now on CD, along with the 18 pages of E-Z to read & follow tablature. The tab shows the chords and tempo, also. The original flyer is self explanatory regards details of the course. A copy of the flyer is included with every order. (Medley transfered to CD from cassette). When you learn it you'll be playing over 7 minutes. HR played the Medley with subtle changes every time, this is the basics. He mentioned the Medley's availability, from stage, at the 1983 convention. Came across a copy of him mentioning the course being for sale and I have included it on the end of the CD. Hal's version, from the Altered Ego album, is included on this CD, also. The picker on this course is the Great Paul Jones cuz w/o him this course would not have turned out as good as it is. I listened to this course again yesterday & it never ceases to amaze me how GOOD this is, or how Great Hal was. What you can learn are some of the Great chops and scale runs that Hal was so famous for. Paul Jones did one heck-of-a-job on putting this together. Yeah, you'd probably never play it on stage but that is true of most of the course stuff out there. What you learn here is what you will use the rest of your steel guitar life and you will be that much a Better picker because of it. Learn from people who are where you want to be. Postage for this course to overseas is Outrageous so we must pass that on. Sorry bout dat! Yes, things have changed but the Medley was and is a timeless work of art & effort & Genius, (imhbao). For that we gave thanks to Hal Rugg then. We'll continue to promote his efforts in any good way possible, now.
