NOTE: I do combine items to save you on shipping cost.This fully polished specimen of all-natural authentic Dominican amber from the mines in the Dominican Republic contains several fibers that may be hair from a small mammal or it may be from a now extinct plant that lived in an ancient tropical forest.Either way, hair in amber fossils is quite rare.There is also a group of 4 flies in this piece.It could be fashioned into a fascinating piece of jewelry.Geological studies have dated Dominican amber to be between 17 and 20 million years old.The piece itself weighs 0.7 grams and has approximate dimensions of 1.7 cm length, 0.9 cm width, and 0.4 cm height.
