ORIGINAL LIST PRICE $40HOLIDAY SALE $32 Wonderful Ferrier Pen and Ink Print that has been numbered and signed by the artist, Gene Matras. He has a keen talent for capturing the details of his subjects and he has not let us down with this one! I can tell you that even though the photos are good they can not compare to the detail I see when I look at the actual print. The horse sure seems comfortable with his very experienced ferrier. The curve in this gentleman's back and his aged face. I get the impression he takes his time and has patience with his process. The details of the door casing on the building tells me he has been a busy mas for many years. It would be ideal if this print is hung where one can stand close and see the details of this wonderful Pen and Ink. We purchased this print directly from the artist at an event at The William Cullen Bryant Homestead in Cummington, Massachusetts, likely in the late 1990s. The print was never removed from the protective plastic wrap until I was preparing it for this listing. There are a few very small spots on the plastic that were damaged. Fortunately the plastic is somewhat durable and it did not create holes all the way through. There are no marks/imperfections on the print due to the damaged plastic. The top right corner of the print was damaged from a drop at some point. There are a couple visible lines/bends that can be seen. I have included two photos with notes to best show this. All of the photos in all of my listings are of the actual item my buyers will receive. I take great pride in providing you with accurate descriptions and as many photos as possible.
