PLAY ME COLLECTIBLE METAL MINIATURESPENCIL SHARPENERSASSORTED DESIGNSNICE CONDITION10 PIECES! Up for sale is a nice collection of authentic Play Me collectible miniatures in their original boxes. All boxes are marked "Made in Spain." These miniatures are all pencil sharpeners that are unique replicas of various items. My father purchased these items during his travels to Spain and brought them home as a gift to my sons. I believe they were purchased sometime around the late 1980's or early 1990's. They are pre-owned but are in very good condition, although a few of the sharpeners have minor defects (see below for further details). Some of them may have been used or handled, but most have remained unused in the boxes and in climate-controlled storage for many years. PLEASE NOTE: Most of the items in this lot are weapons of some sort–there are cannons, guns, and a catapult, and some of these have spring-loaded mechanisms. These came with various types of ammunition such as cannon balls, bullets, and a plunger. Because these boxes have been opened and used, I am not quite certain which bullets, cannon balls, etc. go with each box, and I cannot guarantee that each box is complete with the originally supplied ammunition. I did my best to sort them, but I will leave it up to the buyer to figure out which goes with which. Items are shown in the photos with the ammunition that I have. If the item is not shown with ammunition, it either came without, has been lost, or else I inadvertently put that ammunition with one of the other pieces. Some of the weapons have mechanisms that actually shoot the ammunition, and others appear to be just for display and are non-functional, i.e. they don't actually shoot the bullets. I did not test these extensively but the mechanics in some of the weapons do seem to be a little stiff from age and may not be working properly; however, it's possible that is the way they came from the manufacturer. That said, these collectibles are primarily for decoration and I do not guarantee functionality of the features. KNOWN DEFECTS:At least two of the sharpeners have minor defects. On the Catapult, the end portion of the lever is broken off. On one of the cannons (the one marked Trabuco), a support tab is has broken off on one side. Please see the closeup photos of these two items for details. The known defective areas are marked in the red squares. All of the miniatures come with the original boxes. The glue on many of the box seams have separated from age but could easily be re-glued. The boxes may have slight defects, tears, price stickers, or shelf wear, but most likely they came this way from the vendor. Some of the sharpeners are shown with closeup photos, but eBay doesn't allow enough space to post them all. I have a few additional closeup photos of some of the sharpeners that I would be happy to send upon request. Items will be packaged carefully for safe arrival.
